Launch!

Launch48 weekend is an awesome startup conference and hack-weekend that sees several teams pitch, plan and launch a startup in a frenetic 48 hours. It is also atubeaway's original birthplace - the founders having worked together on a startup team, and deciding that we could probably do this for real... so it is only fitting that we returned there (nearly a year later) to soft launch the atubeaway website.

I think it went brilliantly.

We had a number of people look over the site with us, and they each gave us excellent feedback. Mostly along the lines of "That's like a great idea... but the interface is a bit naff"

I agree.

There's a lot of work to do to get it all up to scratch, but we're actually pretty encouraged by the feedback we got. Now we're not just guessing based on our own ideas of what we think the site should look like, and how it should work. Now we've got real people out there giving us an outside perspective, and that makes all the difference.

So, if you haven't had a chance yet, please check out the website (the links up the top), and please give us feedback on what you think is most important to fix.

Meanwhile, I'd better get back to work! :)
